Summer Internship The interns have the opportunity to learn about day-to-day functions of the US government and how the office helps the constituents. Interns will lead Capitol tours, answer phones, attend committee hearings or briefings, assist constituents and write Congressional correspondence. This internship provides an opportunity to work closely with legislative staff and assist with various projects. Must be an undergraduate student who has completed at least one term, a graduate student or a recent graduate. Preference will be given to those with strong ties to the Second District. Should be interested in the legislative process and have excellent writing and research skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to complete tasks as assigned. Must be willing to work on a variety of assignments and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
