A law firm is seeking a Liability Attorney with the following responsibilities, qualifications, and benefits:
Job Overview:
The Liability Attorney will represent clients in cases involving liability claims. They will handle all aspects of litigation, from initial client consultation to trial preparation and court appearances.
Duties:
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in liability cases.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support client cases.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Prepare for and participate in hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients when appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Requirements:
- Admission to the Virginia Bar is required.
- 2-4 years of experience practicing law, preferably with a focus on litigation.
- General litigation experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Admission to the Virginia State Bar.
