Duties:

  • Manage all stages of family law cases, including complex financial matters and custody disputes.
  • Provide expert legal counsel and representation in divorce, child custody, property division, and other family law matters.
  • Handle complex trial preparation, including research, evidence gathering, and case strategy.
  • Represent clients in court, including second-chairing larger cases as needed.
  • Draft legal documents, including motions, petitions, and settlement agreements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and senior attorneys to ensure optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Maintain high standards of legal research and written communication.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in family law, with a proven ability to handle cases independently.
  • Experience with complex financial and custody issues in family law.
  • Strong trial experience, with a preference for candidates willing to second-chair significant matters.
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with limited supervision and manage a full caseload.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain positive client relationships.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado.

Skills:

  • Expertise in family law, including divorce, child custody, and asset division.
  • Strong courtroom and trial preparation skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to handle complex cases with attention to detail and professionalism.
