Job Overview:

A prestigious law firm located in Austin, TX is seeking a talented and driven Mid-Level Venture and Growth Associate Attorney. This position requires substantial experience in lender-side representation for commercial finance matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background and a minimum of four years of experience, preferably representing banks and/or private credit funds in financing technology, life sciences, and middle-market companies.

Duties:

  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, legal professionals, and business entities.
  • Manage a variety of tasks including drafting deliverables, responding to correspondence, and maintaining consistent client communication.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality work product is delivered.
  • Handle work responsibilities under tight deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Build and maintain positive professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Adhere to all firm policies, procedures, and legal practices.
  • Engage in a mix of both sedentary and active work, such as attending meetings and participating in virtual conference calls.
  • Perform additional tasks, duties, or special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4+ years of direct and relevant experience, particularly in lender-side representation for commercial finance.
  • Preferred experience working with AmLaw 100 firms.
  • Expertise in representing banks or private credit funds in transactions involving technology, life sciences, or middle-market sectors.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be admitted to practice law in Texas.

Certifications:

  • Active Texas Bar Admission.
