We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Lead Counsel to join our Litigation Group in New York. This is a full-time, remote hybrid position with a primary location in New York. In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal support and guidance for a wide range of litigations, arbitrations, regulatory inquiries, and investigations. You will also have the opportunity to handle internal investigations and advise on litigation prevention strategies for the Markets, Banking, Wealth, and Services divisions. As a Senior Lead Counsel, you will have the opportunity to work on complex cases, provide strategic direction, prepare witnesses for testimony, and review court submissions. You will also collaborate with joint defense groups and assist in trial/arbitration preparations. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters to non-lawyers. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues globally on cross-border and cross-affiliate issues. To be successful in this role, you must have a JD or equivalent degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in complex litigation proceedings. Previous experience at a major law firm or in-house position at a financial services company is preferred. Exposure to capital markets, institutional sales and trading, derivatives, and commercial and investment banking matters is a plus.
