A law firm in Charlotte is seeking a Senior Financial Services Associate Attorney with 4-7 years of transactional experience. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of syndicated credit facilities and leveraged finance transactions. This role requires excellent academic performance and strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage complex financial transactions and work closely with clients.

Job Duties:

  • Manage and oversee syndicated credit facilities and leveraged finance transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, security documents, and other related transactional documents.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients on complex financial transactions and structures.
  • Conduct due diligence and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored legal solutions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams within the firm, including corporate, tax, and litigation departments.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial services law.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing high-quality, responsive legal service.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the North Carolina State Bar or ability to waive in promptly.
  • 4-7 years of transactional experience, specifically in syndicated credit facilities and leveraged finance transactions.
  • Excellent academic performance and a proven track record of success in previous roles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work efficiently under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of syndicated credit facilities, leveraged finance transactions, and related legal frameworks.
  • Experience with secured lending, debt restructuring, and complex financial arrangements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the North Carolina State Bar or ability to waive in promptly.
