A law firm seeks an experienced and dedicated Criminal Defense & Family Law Attorney to join its fast-growing team in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will be ready to hit the ground running, managing cases from start to finish while working in a supportive and modern office environment with a collaborative legal team.

Duties

• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts for use in legal proceedings and negotiations
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings, providing effective advocacy
• Conduct legal research and collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
• Maintain organized client files, ensuring all case information is current and accessible to team members
• Communicate regularly with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure smooth case handling and client satisfaction
• Analyze client issues and provide strategic advice to determine the best legal course of action
• Ensure cases are handled efficiently and meet deadlines

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with comfort and confidence in the courtroom
• Licensed to practice law in Florida and good standing with the Florida Bar
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to work well within a team and manage multiple cases simultaneously
• High integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus, but not required

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active Florida Bar License (required)
