A law firm in Boston, MA is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Commercial Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience in commercial real estate finance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with commercial real estate loans and mezzanine loans, and will play a key role in managing transactions from due diligence through closing. Experience in a large law firm is strongly preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage commercial real estate finance transactions, including commercial real estate loans and mezzanine loans.
  • Act as a key member of deal teams, handling essential aspects of transactions from due diligence through to closing.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents such as credit agreements, promissory notes, and other related agreements.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence, including title and survey reviews, and coordinate with other legal and business teams.
  • Provide legal advice on complex real estate finance issues and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and review legal opinions and other transaction-related documentation.
  • Collaborate with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction processes.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends impacting real estate finance.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, with proven expertise in managing transactions and working as part of deal teams.
  • Hands-on experience with commercial real estate loans and mezzanine loans.
  • Experience in a large law firm is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of real estate finance law, including due diligence, loan documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in Massachusetts or eligibility for admission.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to handle complex legal and financial issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team and manage client relationships.
