Duties:

• Take ownership of client cases, including federal immigration proceedings and state court criminal matters.
• Conduct client meetings, recommend legal strategies, and guide clients through the immigration process.
• Delegate tasks to paralegals and legal assistants, ensuring high-quality work and case management.
• Provide a wide range of immigration services, including family immigration, employment immigration, and deportation defense.

Requirements:

• Passion for supporting immigrant clients and advocating for their legal rights.
• Ability to manage both federal immigration cases and state court criminal matters.
• Strong organizational and delegation skills, with experience in supervising support staff.
• Fluent Spanish speaker preferred, but not required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.

Skills:

• Strong legal research, writing, and case management skills.
• Ability to communicate legal strategies effectively to clients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in delegating tasks and monitoring progress to ensure case completion.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not mandatory.
• Excellent client interaction and communication abilities.
