Job Overview: A law firm in Vienna, VA, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Employment Law Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and employment law, with expertise in drafting legal documents, advising clients on compliance, handling employment litigation, and possessing excellent communication skills.

Job Details:

• Draft employment contracts, policies, handbooks, and separation agreements.
• Counsel clients proactively on compliance with employment laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, and related state and local laws.
• Handle employment litigation, including drafting, discovery, motions, trial preparation, and trials.
• Engage in extensive client communication to provide legal advice and updates.
• Possess at least 3 years of relevant experience in Labor and Employment Law.
• Preferably have experience representing employers in Employment Law matters.
• Demonstrate a detailed understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required for effective client representation.
• Display a high level of attention to detail in legal documentation and proceedings.

Requirements:

• Must be admitted to the VA Bar.
• MD and/or DC bar admission is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the VA Bar.
• MD and/or DC bar admission is a plus.

Skills:

• Proficiency in drafting legal documents related to employment law.
• Thorough knowledge of Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, and related laws.
• Litigation skills, including drafting, discovery, motions, trial preparation, and trial experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail in legal documentation and proceedings.
