A law firm in Orlando, FL, is seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in personal injury litigation, trial experience, and strong communication skills. Duties:
- Manage a heavy caseload in a fast-paced environment
- Represent clients in court, serving as First Chair during trials
- Conduct fact and expert witness depositions
- Engage in general litigation practices, including motion practice and discovery
- Communicate effectively with clients, co-workers, and court personnel
- Maintain organized case files and documentation
- Utilize case management software (SmartAdvocate® experience a plus)
- Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
- Provide high-quality client customer service and representation
- Work collaboratively with team members to advance client cases
- Stay current with developments in personal injury litigation and legal precedents
Requirements:
- Member of the Florida Bar and in good standing
- 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience
- Trial experience required, with First Chair experience preferred
- General litigation experience, including motion practice and discovery
- Experience conducting fact and expert witness depositions
- Strong communication and people skills
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
- High level of professionalism and client service prioritization
- Experience with SmartAdvocate® (case management software) a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
