Location:

• New Haven, CT

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on immigration law cases using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
• Draft legal documents including petitions, applications, and briefs to ensure compliance with immigration regulations.
• Provide legal advice to clients on immigration processes and available options.
• Assist clients in preparing for interviews and hearings with USCIS and the Immigration Court.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to strategize on complex immigration matters.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one year of experience handling immigration cases, including family petitions, asylum, and Removal hearings and appeals.
• Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Connecticut.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Connecticut State Bar is required.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of immigration laws and regulations.
