Job Overview: A law firm in New York City, NY is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney with 1-4 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess litigation experience, specifically in trade secrets and other soft intellectual property areas. This role requires a blend of strong legal expertise and technical knowledge.

Duties:

• Represent clients in intellectual property litigation cases, including trade secret disputes.
• Conduct detailed legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies tailored to client needs.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Attend and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to ensure successful case outcomes.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of litigation experience, with a focus on trade secrets and soft intellectual property.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven track record in insightful research and persuasive writing.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Illinois, California, New York, or District of Columbia Bar, active and in good standing.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.
• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is a plus.

Certifications:

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Illinois, California, New York, or District of Columbia Bar.

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and analytical abilities.
• Persuasive writing and oral communication skills.
• Strong understanding of intellectual property law, especially in trade secrets and soft IP.
• Ability to handle complex litigation cases with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in relevant legal and technical software.
