A law firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Associate Attorney for their Washington, . office. The Junior to Mid-Level Associate Attorney will join the firm's team focusing on CFIUS matters, export controls, and international trade. A high level of academic achievement and excellent writing skills are essential for this role.

 

Duties:

  • Advise clients on matters related to CFIUS (Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States).
  • Assist in the preparation of CFIUS filings and related documentation.
  • Conduct legal research on export controls and international trade regulations.
  • Draft and review export control compliance policies and procedures.
  • Provide counsel on compliance with trade regulations and sanctions programs.
  • Support senior attorneys in complex CFIUS cases and international trade matters.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Significant expertise in CFIUS, export controls, and/or international trade.
  • High level of academic achievement.
  • Excellent writing and research skills.
  • Admission to the District of Columbia Bar (or ability to waive in).

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the District of Columbia Bar.

 

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of CFIUS regulations and procedures.
  • Familiarity with export control laws and international trade agreements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in legal analysis and documentation.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues.
