Criminal Defense Attorney The candidate will handle criminal and juvenile defense cases, ranging from traffic violations to felonies. Represent clients throughout the litigation process, including negotiations, pre-trial motions, trials, and pleas, as well as the occasional appeal. Focus on helping our clients achieve their goals, by providing representation throughout the legal process as well as advice on how the matter will appear on their official Georgia criminal history, and the potential options to have that information restricted. Sees the simple, complex, and creative solutions to a situation explain each to a client in plain English, and help the client select the best solution for the situation based upon the goals and facts of the case. Provides supervision and direction to other team members, to ensure everything is on track for the cases you are working on. Establishes a relationship and rapport with a client, and maintains that relationship and rapport throughout the case.

Qualification and Experience Should be an active member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. Must have 2-3 years of practice in Georgia criminal law. Motions and trial experience preferred. Juvenile delinquency experience and school tribunal experience are also preferred. Experience with Mac computers is a plus. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed. A good understanding of GCIC and criminal histories is required. Should possesses strong negotiation and litigation skills. Outstanding customer service skills are essential. Must be motivated, adapts to change well, and willing to do some minor marketing, like write an article for our newsletter, or a thank you card to a referral source. The ability to think through big picture strategy in criminal cases to manage it from start to finish and pivot when needed is a must. Able to work independently while handling multiple files is important. The ability to document everything that takes place on a case and track the time spent on a case is a prerequisite.
