A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Immigration Attorney to join its team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, provide exceptional legal services, and represent clients in various immigration proceedings. This role involves direct client interaction, developing case strategies, and staying informed about changes in immigration law.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of immigration cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Prepare and submit various immigration applications and petitions.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in immigration court and other legal proceedings.
  • Attend hearings, interviews, and meetings with immigration authorities.
  • Develop and execute case strategies tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients, ensuring they understand their options and the legal process.
  • Conduct client interviews and prepare clients for court appearances and interviews.
  • Work with other attorneys and legal staff to provide comprehensive legal services.
  • Participate in community outreach programs and educate the public about immigration issues.
  • Stay informed about changes in immigration laws and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal standards and ethical guidelines.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in immigration law, including family-based petitions, humanitarian applications, and removal defense.
  • Experience representing clients in immigration court.

 

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work under pressure.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar admission in any state, with a preference for Georgia.
