Job Description: - As the US Privacy Counsel, you will be responsible for developing and communicating Palantir's positions on key data protection issues. - This includes US State Privacy Laws and court decisions. - You will work closely with the commercial legal team to facilitate customer discussions and support negotiations. - You will be given open-ended objectives and must be able to turn them into successful outcomes. - You will be responsible for delivering complex information in an understandable way and managing high-profile stakeholders. - You must be able to navigate a complex organization and work under time-sensitive situations. - You will have a strong understanding of global data protection laws and recent developments in AI technology. - You will review requests for AI use cases and assist in developing AI governance policies from a data protection perspective. Responsibilities: - Define and develop Palantir's positions on data protection agreements, impact assessments, and incidents under US Federal and State Privacy Laws. - Assist in drafting and negotiating customer data protection-related documentation. - Develop privacy program standards, policies, and playbooks in line with regulatory guidance and best practices. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate deals and product development. - Have a strong understanding of GDPR and other worldwide data protection laws. - Review AI use cases and assist in developing AI governance policies from a data protection perspective. Qualifications: - Licensed attorney in good standing in at least one US State. - 3-6 years of experience in US Privacy Laws practice, with a focus on the software industry and AI technologies. - Fluent in spoken and written English. Preferred Qualifications: - In-house legal experience. - Technical background. Salary Information: - Estimated salary range of $135,000 - $200,000/year. - Total compensation may also include Restricted Stock units, sign-on bonus, and other incentives. - Total compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and other factors.
