A law firm in Coral Gables, FL, is seeking a highly experienced Trial Attorney with over 5 years of litigation experience, particularly in construction litigation, commercial litigation, and first-party property claims. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage complex multi-party construction cases in both state and federal courts, attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials, and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills. Admission to the Florida Bar is required, and a deep knowledge of construction, lien, insurance, and surety law is essential.
Duties:
- Handle complex multi-party construction cases in state and federal courts.
- Attend and represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
- Manage all aspects of case preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Conduct extensive legal research and prepare detailed legal briefs and memoranda.
- Develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.
- Collaborate with expert witnesses and other professionals as needed.
- Maintain effective case management, ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of litigation experience, with a preference for experience in construction litigation, commercial litigation, and first-party property claims.
- Admission to the Florida Bar.
