The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage complex multi-party construction cases in both state and federal courts, attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials, and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills. Admission to the Florida Bar is required, and a deep knowledge of construction, lien, insurance, and surety law is essential.

Duties:

  • Handle complex multi-party construction cases in state and federal courts.
  • Attend and represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Manage all aspects of case preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct extensive legal research and prepare detailed legal briefs and memoranda.
  • Develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with expert witnesses and other professionals as needed.
  • Maintain effective case management, ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional and timely manner.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of litigation experience, with a preference for experience in construction litigation, commercial litigation, and first-party property claims.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar.
  • Strong knowledge of construction, lien, insurance, and surety law.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex cases and meet deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice in the state of Florida.
