Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to join our team and provide legal advice, counsel, and representation to our organization. This role will report to the Vice President of Legal and will also assist with compliance and risk management activities for the company. Responsibilities: • Provide timely and pragmatic legal advice to business leaders on a variety of topics related to the company's business and products • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements • Manage internal contract review and retention process and systems • Offer input on internal governance policies and procedures • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations • Stay up-to-date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules, and regulations that directly affect our business and industry Requirements: • . degree required; MA in Business Administration or related field considered an asset • 5-7+ years of experience in corporate commercial law, with proven experience in general counseling in a business environment • Prior in-house counsel experience preferred • Strong knowledge of corporate law, litigation, and contracts, with working knowledge in commercial compliance, privacy, licensing, and regulatory matters • Understanding of how legal issues impact organizations • Ability to develop legal strategies and objectives with a business and solutions-oriented mindset • Familiarity with financial operations and acumen • High level of professionalism, ethics, and integrity • Ability to anticipate legal issues and risks and provide proactive solutions • Excellent judgment and analytical skills • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to summarize complex issues in a clear and concise manner • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization • Experienced in talent development and team leadership • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Contract Management Systems • Limited travel required What We Offer: At Corza Medical, we value a collaborative and empowering work environment where all team members are encouraged to share their ideas and opinions.
