Job Overview: A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its team in Independence, OH, focusing primarily on domestic relations cases. The successful candidate will manage a caseload with autonomy and handle client interactions with minimal supervision. Duties:

• Handle a caseload of 25-35 domestic relations cases, managing all aspects of casework
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements
• Conduct legal research and represent clients in court for hearings and trials
• Advise clients on family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and support issues
• Convert prospective client calls into retained clients by providing clear legal guidance
• Collaborate with support staff, including legal assistants and receptionists, for efficient case management
• Meet and exceed monthly billable hour goals to qualify for bonuses and career advancement

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active and in good standing membership with the Ohio State Bar
• Experience handling domestic relations or family law cases preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and client management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume caseload with limited supervision

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution

Certifications:

• Active Ohio Bar license

Skills:

• Proficient in legal research, drafting, and case management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Collaborative team player with a client-centered approach

Location:
