A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Life Sciences Health Industry Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide legal counsel to clients in the life sciences and health industry sectors, focusing on regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and litigation support.

 

Duties:

  • Communicate directly with internal and external clients, offering clear, concise legal advice through live discussions and written correspondence.
  • Conduct risk-based analyses of complex regulatory concepts and provide strategic guidance to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Understand clients’ business objectives, operations, and strategies to offer practical legal solutions that align with their needs.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently while maintaining high-quality work standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including FDA compliance, litigation, technology transactions, and health care privacy specialists.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Texas.
  • 3-5 years of experience in health care regulatory matters, specifically in the life sciences or health industry sectors.
  • Proven experience with Federal health care program regulations (., Medicare, Medicaid), reimbursement, billing, and compliance.
  • Familiarity with internal and government investigations, False Claims Act litigation, and medtech industry regulatory frameworks.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Expertise in compliance with the Anti-Kickback Statute, including product and service pricing and discounts.
  • Understanding of market access issues, including reimbursement support and patient access programs.
