A law firm in Atlanta is seeking a highly qualified Associate Attorney with expertise in chemistry, particularly organic or medicinal chemistry. Duties:
- Draft and prosecute patent applications related to small molecule pharmaceuticals.
- Conduct patent validity, non-infringement, and freedom-to-operate analyses.
- Support IP due diligences, patent litigations, and post-grant proceedings (IPR, PGR, interferences).
- Collaborate with clients to understand their intellectual property needs.
- Take on significant responsibility in legal research and analysis.
- Work with legal teams on various intellectual property matters.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree (. preferred, or . with several years of industry experience) in chemistry, with a focus on organic or medicinal chemistry.
- Registration to practice at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
