Location:

Duties:

  • Advise clients on employment law matters, including employee handbooks, wage and hour compliance, and employer hiring practices.
  • Conduct on-site employee training on harassment prevention, leadership development, and crisis management.
  • Draft and review employment contracts and policies.
  • Handle investigations related to employment law issues.
  • Provide legal guidance in risk management and crisis response for employers.
  • Offer legal support to independent schools as outside or in-house counsel (preferred).

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in employment law.
  • Expertise in employee policies, wage and hour compliance, and risk management.
  • Experience providing on-site employee training.
  • Strong background in contract drafting, investigations, and leadership development.
  • Prior experience with independent schools (preferred).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in relevant jurisdiction (New Hampshire or Massachusetts preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex employment law cases.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, particularly in delivering training.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
