A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of diversified transactional tax experience. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in partnership, real estate, and/or corporate tax matters. The role requires excellent writing, interpersonal, and communication skills. Preference is given to candidates with experience at Am Law 200 firms and a high level of academic achievement. An . in tax law is advantageous. Admission to the State Bar of California is required.
Duties:
- Provide comprehensive tax advice on partnership, real estate, and corporate transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate tax-related documents, including opinions, memoranda, and agreements.
- Develop and execute tax planning and compliance strategies tailored to client needs.
- Conduct in-depth research on tax laws, regulations, and precedents.
- Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to address and resolve complex tax issues.
- Represent clients in interactions and negotiations with tax authorities.
- Manage multiple client projects efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on clients.
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of diversified transactional tax experience.
- Experience in partnership, real estate, and/or corporate tax matters.
- Excellent writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Experience with Am Law 200 law firms preferred.
- High level of academic achievement.
- An . in tax law is helpful.
- Admission to the State Bar of California.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- An . in tax law is preferred but not required.
Certifications:
