This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Paralegal or legal practice assistant with a passion for the fast-paced gaming industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of paralegal level tasks, including preparing gaming applications and petitions, participating in licensing processes, and communicating with regulators and clients. They will also assist in drafting documents and communications and maintaining organized records. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys in the Gaming Practice Group and gain valuable experience in a dynamic legal environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Preparation of gaming applications and petitions - Participation in licensing processes and periodic reporting - Professional communication with regulators and clients - Drafting documents and communications - Thorough review of documents to identify potential issues or discrepancies - Monitoring and following up with clients to ensure timely submission of documents - Organizing and maintaining records - Other billable responsibilities as assigned by attorneys Required and Preferred Qualifications: - Minimum of 3 years' experience in a law firm setting - Bachelor's degree preferred - Regulatory knowledge and experience preferred - Detail-oriented and able to handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment - Self-motivated and able to work independently - Strong organizational and communication skills - Flexibility to work overtime and meet deadlines as needed Compensation and Benefits: Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401k matching, and paid time off.
