A law firm in Raleigh, NC, is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. This role primarily involves defending and litigating lawsuits related to a wide range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination. The attorney will represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in employment-related arbitrations, including class/collective actions. Additionally, they will provide advice and counsel to employers on various labor and employment laws and regulations.

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate a variety of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
  • Represent employers in different legal settings, including court, administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Handle a wide range of employment matters, including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete cases.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to employers on labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Engage in legal research, document drafting, and oral advocacy.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • A minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for employment law background.
  • Active admission to the Illinois Bar or the ability to obtain admission quickly.
  • Understanding of current court and employment-related agency (state and federal) procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
