Job Overview: A law firm seeks a highly motivated and dedicated family law attorney to join its team in Huntington Beach, CA. This position requires a professional who can independently manage cases from start to finish, ensuring clients receive the best representation throughout all stages of the legal process. The attorney will work on a wide range of family law issues, including child custody, support, domestic violence, and property division while maintaining a strong focus on client communication and advocacy.

Duties:

• Provide personalized legal counsel to clients by evaluating their unique circumstances and developing tailored strategies
• Attend court hearings, trials, and conferences to represent clients in family law cases
• Draft and review various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, and court orders
• Manage the division of assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings
• Ensure client files are kept organized, updated, and compliant with legal requirements
• Collaborate with opposing counsel and court personnel to reach favorable resolutions
• Handle discovery and prepare clients for hearings and trials

Requirements:

• Licensed attorney in California with a focus on family law
• Demonstrated experience handling family law cases, including child and spousal support, custody matters, and domestic violence issues
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing a high volume of cases
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in case management and document preparation

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar

Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in client interactions and court presentations
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting discovery
• Ability to negotiate effectively and advocate strongly for clients in court
• Empathy and professionalism when handling sensitive family law matters
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple cases at once
