Duties:
Independently manage a caseload or collaborate with senior attorneys to handle cases from start to finish.
Engage in motion practice, discovery, fact depositions, and expert discovery.
Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to clients regarding insurance defense and subrogation matters.
Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and depositions.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction.
Handle federal or multi-jurisdictional cases with an emphasis on personal injury, fire loss litigation, and product liability defense.
Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and correspondence.
Effectively manage time, prioritize cases, and meet deadlines.
Requirements:
2-5+ years of experience in insurance defense and/or subrogation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
Experience with motion practice, discovery, and depositions.
Ability to manage complex litigation cases with minimal supervision.
Experience in multi-jurisdictional or federal court cases is highly desirable.
Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in legal technology and case management software.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Active state Bar membership (TX Bar required).
