A law firm seeks a lateral attorney to join its team, focusing primarily on employment law with an emphasis on representing employers in litigation and advisory matters. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney to expand their practice while collaborating with a dynamic and supportive team.

Duties

• Represent employers in employment litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and participating in hearings and trials.
• Provide counsel to employers on a range of employment law issues, including compliance, policy development, and dispute resolution.
• Handle matters related to workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, and employee terminations.
• Draft and negotiate employment agreements, contracts, and other related documents.
• Stay updated on federal, state, and local labor and employment laws to provide accurate and timely advice to clients.

Requirements

• A minimum of two years of experience in employment law, with a preference for litigation experience.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of Washington.
