A law firm seeks an experienced Construction/Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney for its Sarasota, FL office. This role is ideal for an attorney with 3-5 years of experience in civil and construction litigation. The position offers the opportunity to handle complex litigation matters while working within a collaborative, full-service legal team. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.

Duties

• Handle all aspects of civil and construction litigation cases, from pre-litigation through trial or settlement.
• Draft, review, and revise legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts with precision and clarity.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies and motions.
• Engage in discovery processes, including drafting discovery requests, responding to discovery, and conducting depositions.
• Work closely with clients to develop and implement legal strategies aimed at resolving disputes favorably.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on complex litigation cases.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in civil and construction litigation.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Florida Bar admission required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and case management.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar membership in the state of Florida.

• Strong litigation skills, including the ability to argue motions and conduct trials.
• Ability to manage discovery and pre-trial procedures efficiently.
