As a member of the Employment Law & Investigations Team at Meta, you will play a key role in advising on employment law issues related to the company's contingent workforce. This is a highly visible and impactful position that will report to the Director & Associate General Counsel for the global Contingent Workforce Program. The successful candidate will provide legal advice and counsel, manage claims and litigation, and support other areas of practice such as academic collaboration. Responsibilities: - Provide legal advice, counsel, and support on contingent workforce related matters from an employment law perspective - Advise on a variety of employment law areas, including use of supplemental labor, outsourcing, and joint-employer liability - Support key partners on union/work council/organized labor issues - Collaborate with cross-functional partners and other attorneys to ensure consistency and compliance - Review, draft, and revise contractual clauses in statements of work and service agreements - Monitor legislation, regulations, and case law related to contingent workforce issues - Support audits, process reviews, and new policy creation and implementation - Draft and review program related documents, policies, and processes - Manage outside counsel for administrative charges and lawsuits - Facilitate process improvements, create efficiencies, and provide trainings as needed - Travel domestically and internationally as needed - Maintain flexibility and willingness to work extended hours to connect with colleagues in different time zones Minimum Qualifications: - - 3+ years of experience in labor and employment law - Experience advising on US and international contingent worker issues - Pre-litigation/litigation experience Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience with international employment issues - In-house legal department experience - Experience managing large-scale projects Locations: - Los Angeles, CA - Austin, TX - Atlanta, GA - Menlo Park, CA - Seattle, WA - Washington, DC - New York, NY - San Francisco, CA Meta is a technology company that is constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible in social technology.
