A law firm seeks an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join a dynamic and expanding legal practice in Raleigh, NC. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, providing expert legal services in family law while collaborating with a team of seasoned attorneys. This role offers the opportunity for professional growth and the development of a wide range of legal skills, including drafting legal documents, trial preparation, and client strategy development.

Duties:

• Conduct thorough legal research on family law issues and case precedents.
• Draft various legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, orders, and discovery requests.
• Assist senior attorneys in trial preparation and overall case management.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with clients, providing updates and legal advice.
• Maintain organized case files and documentation in line with firm standards.
• Interact effectively with court staff, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, hearings, and trials.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina (NC).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience practicing as a Family Law Associate Attorney.
• Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of family law procedures and local court rules.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for client interactions and courtroom presence.
• Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• Prior litigation experience with proven ability to represent clients in courtroom settings.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active North Carolina law license (required).
