A law firm in Charlotte is seeking an experienced Equipment Finance Attorney with significant transactional experience, including equipment finance, general finance, or corporate transactions. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic performance and strong interpersonal skills. This role involves managing and advising on complex finance transactions and working closely with clients to provide practical legal solutions.

Job Duties:

  • Manage and oversee a variety of equipment finance transactions, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating related agreements.
  • Advise clients on general finance and corporate transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients on financing structures, documentation, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored legal solutions.
  • Conduct due diligence and prepare legal opinions on finance-related matters.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams within the firm, including corporate, tax, and litigation departments.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in equipment finance and general finance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing high-quality, responsive legal service.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the North Carolina State Bar or ability to waive in promptly.
  • Significant transactional experience, including equipment finance, general finance, or corporate transactions.
  • Excellent academic performance and a proven track record of success in previous roles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work efficiently under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of equipment finance laws, regulations, and market practices.
  • Experience with secured lending, leasing transactions, and asset-based lending.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the North Carolina State Bar or ability to waive in promptly.
