Duties

  • Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions tailored to individual client needs.
  • Manage a diverse workload of immigration cases, ensuring timely progress and communication.
  • Prepare a variety of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Review immigration applications and packets, making necessary adjustments to meet compliance.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration law changes.
  • Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients to develop appropriate legal strategies.
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for USCIS interviews, ensuring they are well-informed and confident.
  • Provide comprehensive legal analysis to identify potential benefits for clients' cases.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.
  • Coordinate case strategies with team members to ensure a cohesive approach.
  • Manage various case filings, and deadlines, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Research unique legal issues and stay updated on legislative changes affecting immigration.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex legal issues as they arise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the firm's partners.

Requirements

  • A Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA Accredited Law School is required.
  • Active Bar License in Good Standing from any . State or territory (including DC and Puerto Rico).
  • Fluency in Spanish is a mandatory requirement.
  • 1-4 years of relevant immigration law experience is preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA Accredited Law School.

Certifications

  • Active Bar License in Good Standing from any . State or territory.
