Job Title: CMBS Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a highly skilled Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, specifically with expertise in CMBS (Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities) and balance sheet lending. This position offers the opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on CMBS lending and servicing, where you will work with a variety of real estate finance matters.
Duties:
- Represent lenders and servicers in CMBS and balance sheet financing transactions.
- Handle asset management and servicing for CMBS and balance sheet loans.
- Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents for commercial real estate transactions.
- Conduct due diligence and manage closings for real estate finance matters.
- Provide legal counsel on structuring real estate finance deals.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to meet clients’ objectives.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate finance.
- Expertise in CMBS lending and servicing, along with balance sheet financing.
- Strong research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to handle large and complex transactions.
- Solid understanding of real estate finance laws and regulations.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active Bar license in good standing in at least one . state.
Certifications:
- Must be licensed to practice law in California.
