Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in New York City is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Family Law Attorney to join their team. The firm specializes in high-net-worth divorce and family law matters, offering a collaborative and supportive work environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 3-6 years of experience who is passionate about litigation and advocating for clients in complex family law cases.

Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload involving divorce, child custody, spousal support, child support, and equitable distribution matters.
• Conduct client consultations and develop case strategies.
• Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and prenuptial/postnuptial agreements.
• Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients in contested matters.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, ensuring they remain informed and involved throughout the process.
• Collaborate effectively with senior attorneys and team members to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in family law, including handling divorce, custody, and related matters.
• Proven litigation and courtroom advocacy experience.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Strong writing, negotiation, and case management skills.
• Compassionate and client-focused approach to family law issues.
• Licensed to practice law in New York.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) or equivalent from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York.
