Job Overview: A law firm in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to provide legal counsel and representation to clients in matters related to employment law.
Duties:
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients regarding employment law issues, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and employment contracts.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support clients' cases and provide informed legal counsel.
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and settlement proposals.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and administrative hearings.
- Handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial preparation.
- Stay current with developments in employment law and advise clients on compliance with relevant statutes and regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Utah State Bar and in good standing.
- Experience practicing employment law, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a caseload and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
