A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Senior Insurance and Reinsurance Career Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience in insurance coverage and complex litigation. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of coverage issues under professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers' insurance policies. They must possess excellent academic credentials, superior research and writing abilities, and be licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze insurance policies and provide coverage opinions to clients.
• Handle insurance coverage litigation matters involving professional liability, general liability, and D&O insurance.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trials.
• Provide strategic advice to clients on insurance and reinsurance matters.
• Collaborate with partners, clients, and experts to develop case strategies and achieve successful outcomes.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing.
• 5+ years of experience practicing insurance coverage law and handling complex litigation matters.
• Strong understanding of coverage issues under professional liability, general liability, and D&O insurance policies.
• Excellent academic credentials with a demonstrated track record of success.
• Superior research and writing skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with reinsurance issues and disputes.
• Previous experience in a law firm environment specializing in insurance defense or coverage litigation.
• Familiarity with California state and federal court procedures.
