A law firm is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel with the following responsibilities, qualifications, and requirements:
Job Overview:
As Litigation Of Counsel, you will be crucial in handling complex litigation matters, providing strategic counsel, and ensuring high-quality legal representation for clients.
Duties:
- Communicate effectively with clients, legal professionals, and third parties.
- Supervise and mentor associates in litigation strategy and case management.
- Collaborate with experts to develop case theories and strategies.
- Assist in fact development through research and deposition preparation.
- Review, draft, and finalize discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
- Contribute to the development of case strategy and trial preparation.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
- Experience in product liability and complex commercial litigation.
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and medical device industries is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Sound business judgment and organizational prowess.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in legal research and problem-solving.
- JD degree from an accredited law school.
- Strong academic credentials from nationally recognized institutions.
- Admitted to practice law in New York; admission in Texas is preferred.
Education and Certifications:
- JD degree required.
- Additional credentials such as MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology degree are beneficial.
