Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate various business agreements, including purchase agreements, partnership agreements, and licensing agreements.
  • Guide on tax implications related to business transactions and corporate structures.
  • Handle intellectual property matters, including copyright and trademark registrations and disputes.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and legal research to support transactional matters.
  • Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to develop strategic solutions for business needs.
  • Stay current with developments in business, tax, and intellectual property law to provide up-to-date legal advice.
  • Manage multiple cases and transactions simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in transactional and complex business matters.
  • Strong knowledge of business, tax, mergers and acquisitions, copyright, and trademark laws.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong academic credentials with a proven track record of high-quality work.
  • Must be barred and in good standing to practice law in the State of Maryland.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Maryland.
