Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mid-Level/Senior Antitrust Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex commercial litigation, particularly in antitrust cases and significant MDL (Multi-District Litigation) civil litigation. The role requires excellent legal acumen, superb communication skills, and the ability to manage diverse litigation tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis related to antitrust laws and regulations.
  • Handle all aspects of discovery, including drafting discovery requests, responding to discovery requests, and managing the discovery process.
  • Take and defend depositions, ensuring accurate and comprehensive information gathering.
  • Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Perform document review to identify relevant information and develop case strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and litigation planning.
  • Represent clients in court, presenting arguments and handling trial proceedings as necessary.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met and clients are informed.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide legal advice, and develop strategies tailored to their goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of antitrust laws and other relevant legal developments.

Requirements:

  • Experience in complex commercial litigation.
  • Proven experience in antitrust litigation and extensive MDL civil litigation.
  • 4-7 years of experience.
  • In-court experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of discovery processes and document review.
  • Excellent drafting skills with experience in pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Outstanding academic credentials from a reputable law school.
  • Comparable law firm experience, demonstrating progression and increased responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing.
  • Additional certifications in antitrust law or related areas are a plus.
