Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney with a proven track record in handling diverse cases, including auto, motorcycle, and truck accidents, and slip-and-fall incidents. This position involves managing cases from intake to resolution, collaborating with a dedicated team of paralegals and legal assistants, and advocating for clients throughout the legal process. The ideal candidate should possess strong trial experience, a deep commitment to client service, and the ability to manage complex caseloads efficiently.
Duties:
- Communicate directly with clients to assess their legal needs and provide tailored advice.
- Develop strategic approaches to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively.
- Review discovery documents and determine optimal case strategies.
- Conduct depositions, witness interviews, and expert testimonies.
- Draft and prepare all necessary documentation for case filing (handling approximately 150 cases).
- Work closely with legal assistants and paralegals to ensure thorough case preparation for trial.
- Manage and schedule court hearings, depositions, and conferences as required by each case.
- Supervise and mentor a team of two paralegals.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, ensuring they are informed throughout the legal process.
- Travel to court hearings as necessary.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in plaintiff's personal injury law.
- Licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
- Proven expertise in negotiating settlements with insurance carriers and handling property damage claims.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and cases concurrently.
- Experience in trial preparation and court appearances.
- Demonstrated team player with strong collaborative skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to travel as required.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- NJ Bar License required.
