Job Overview:

A law firm based in Albany, NY, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney with 1-5 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in representing policyholders in insurance coverage matters, including policy review, claims handling, and litigation. Experience with construction insurance coverage and corporate transactional work is a plus. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, writing, and communication skills and a New York Bar license.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze insurance policies to determine coverage issues.
• Handle and manage insurance claims on behalf of policyholders.
• Litigate insurance coverage disputes effectively.
• Draft and negotiate contractual indemnity and insurance provisions.
• Provide legal advice and strategic guidance on insurance-related matters.
• Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to resolve coverage issues.
• Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and settlement agreements.
• Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends in insurance coverage.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• 1-5 years of experience in insurance coverage law, preferably representing policyholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Familiarity with insurance policies and coverage issues.
• Experience with construction insurance coverage and corporate transactional work is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• New York State Bar License.

Skills:

• Proficient in legal research and analysis.
