Duties:

  • Provide guidance on the development and implementation of Special Education programs in schools.
  • Collaborate with school administrators and staff to ensure students receive appropriate educational services.
  • Conduct legal research and stay current on evolving laws and regulations affecting Special Education.
  • Develop training materials and workshops for educators and school administrators on compliance with Special Education laws.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience with a focus on Special Education law.
  • Comprehensive understanding of public school district operations and their legal responsibilities.
  • Experience advising clients on Special Education regulations and participating in IEP meetings.
  • Ability to manage complex legal cases and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in California and in good standing.
