Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex litigation cases, providing legal guidance to clients, drafting legal documents, conducting depositions, handling court appearances, and negotiating settlements. The successful candidate must possess a Juris Doctor degree, admission to the LA Bar, and a minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law, preferably focusing on First-Party Property, General Liability, or a similar area. Experience with alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation and arbitration, is a plus.

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of complex litigation cases from inception through settlement or trial
  • Conduct legal research and provide guidance to clients on various legal issues
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
  • Conduct depositions, prepare witnesses, and handle court appearances
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts in a professional manner
  • Stay current on relevant legal developments and maintain knowledge of applicable laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the LA Bar
