Job Overview:

A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney to join its team in Portland, ME, specializing in foreclosure management. Duties:

• Prepare, review, and approve pleadings related to foreclosure matters.
• Manage all aspects of foreclosure cases, including handling contested matters.
• Represent clients in mediations, depositions, and hearings, both telephonically and in person.
• Conduct regular client meetings and provide status updates.
• Review and ensure accuracy in chains of title.
• Participate in special projects and handle additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the Maine Bar Association.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a high-volume caseload effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in client interactions via email, phone, and legal systems.
• Excellent client service and relationship management skills.
• Proven ability to solve problems and make timely decisions under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced legal environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Maine Bar membership is required.
