Job Overview: A law firm in Irving, TX, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will handle a diverse caseload involving personal injury cases, manage staff, and actively participate in all aspects of litigation from inception through trial.

Duties:

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda.
  • Manage a docket of personal injury cases, including motor vehicle collisions and premise liability.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Supervise and mentor paralegals and legal assistants.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar and in good standing.
  • Litigation experience, preferably in personal injury.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Certifications:

  • Certification in Personal Injury Law (preferred).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research databases (., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Knowledge of civil procedure and litigation process.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
