Job Title: Litigation Attorney
Job Overview: A law firm based in Cherry Hill, NJ, is seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join their team. The position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in diverse litigation matters, with a focus on general and professional liability. The ideal candidate will manage all phases of litigation, from initiation to resolution, while working closely with clients to provide strategic legal advice.
Duties:
- Represent clients in litigation, handling cases from initiation through expert discovery.
- Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.
- Conduct thorough legal research and discovery investigations.
- Draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and legal memoranda.
- Prepare case evaluation summaries, court orders, settlement agreements, and litigation reports.
- Review and summarize discovery responses and depositions.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel.
- Maintain close communication with clients, providing legal analysis, status updates, and counsel throughout the litigation process.
Requirements:
- Active Bar membership in New Jersey.
- Preferred experience in New Jersey litigation.
- Proficiency in drafting discovery, leading depositions, and arguing motions.
- Strong writing and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice in New Jersey.
Certifications:
- New Jersey Bar Admission.
