A law firm seeks a dedicated and skilled Litigation Attorney to join a dynamic, fast-paced legal practice. This remote position offers the opportunity to support the Texas-based corporate office while handling a caseload of debt recovery litigation for major financial institutions. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing a high volume of cases independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Duties:
- Negotiate settlements and resolve pending litigation matters.
- Handle motion practice, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in hearings and trials within the designated regional area, with travel expenses reimbursed.
- Conduct legal research, review case files, and assist in strategy development for ongoing cases.
- Maintain timely and accurate case documentation and communications.
- Manage a high-volume practice, ensuring deadlines and court procedures are met efficiently.
- Foster professional relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and the court system.
Requirements:
- Active and good standing Texas State Bar license.
- At least 1 year of experience in civil litigation (preferably with a focus on debt recovery or collections).
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with technology and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel for court appearances and occasional training.
- Previous experience in collections is a plus, though not required (training available).
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Texas State Bar License (Required).

- Proficiency in legal research, drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.
