Law Firm Seeking Experienced Patent IP Paralegal Eckert Seamans, a nationally recognized law firm with a strong reputation and over 65 years of success, is currently seeking an experienced Patent IP Paralegal to join our team. With 15 offices across the country and a proactive, solution-oriented approach, we provide our clients with top-notch business and litigation counsel. Primary Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation, filing, and prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications - Track docket entries and deadlines to ensure timely and accurate filings - Prepare reports for attorneys and clients - Communicate with clients, foreign associates, and USPTO personnel - Conduct patent watch and publication investigations - Handle document legalization for foreign countries in connection with mergers and name changes - Oversee maintenance fee services and act as a liaison with CPA Global for our clients - Other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment - Aptitude for learning new applications and systems - Proficient in Office365 and docketing databases - Familiarity with PATTSY WAVE, USPTO Patent Center, WIPO, and Global IP Estimator - Experience with document management systems, preferably iManage - Knowledge of foreign patent docketing Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience - Paralegal certificate from an ABA qualified program preferred - Minimum of 5 years of patent prosecution experience Physical Requirements: - Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer Travel Expectation: - None Benefits: - Generous PTO and holiday schedule - Medical, vision, and dental insurance - Hybrid work schedule option - Commuter benefits - Paid parental leave - 401k plan At Eckert Seamans, we are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants.
